From a Small Idea to a Smart Solution
What started as a passion project soon became PlantMate, an intelligent automatic watering system created to take the worry out of plant care. Using smart sensors and precise watering technology, PlantMate ensures your plants get exactly what they need, even when you are away.
Our journey began when our founder Sadri went to Egypt for 3 weeks. When he returned he noticed that he forgot to get a plant sitter. All of his plants had died. So, we decided to solve it once and for all.
The First Idea
It began with a simple thought: what if plants could water themselves? Watching our favorite plants wilt after long weeks at work sparked the idea of PlantMate, a device that brings convenience, technology, and care together to make plant care effortless for everyone
Trial and Error
Our first prototypes failed miserably with leaky tubes, overwatered soil, and blinking sensors that refused to stop. But every setback taught us something new. After dozens of versions, we finally built a system that worked perfectly: simple, reliable, and smart.
Kickstarter
After months of hard work, we launched our Kickstarter campaign to validate demand. It was a huge success. 500 Backers supported us to bring PlantMate to life.
Stopped Studying
Balancing studies and Plantup quickly became impossible. Leaving school was not an easy choice but building something real felt far more meaningful. Every hour spent developing PlantMate became a lesson in design, creativity, and perseverance beyond any classroom.
A Story with Every Video
Each video we posted told a story. From messy prototypes to real customer feedback, we shared everything. People did not just see a product, they saw our progress, our challenges, and our commitment to helping every plant lover care better for their greens.
From One to Twelve in a Year
What started with one order turned into twelve in just a year each new customer bringing excitement and purpose. Slowly, word spread. Our living rooms became workshops, and our dream started turning into a growing community of plant lovers worldwide.
